நிலப்பரப்பு (Nilap-parappu)—terrain. While the ground—the earth below us, provides some stability, it is ever-changing. This EP is an exploration of music and sounds that replicate ground movements such as tectonic shifts and how new terrain is created as a result. The ghatam (clay pot)—one of the oldest South Asian percussion instruments, takes center stage in each track. Its stability, yet versatility as an instrument, inspired Krithi to weave different percussive elements together to create the music on this album.
